The largest littoral group of
houses of the island, with 334 inhabitants. Buit in an all green area and lies 11km south
of the capital. The rare kind of sea-turtle Careta-Careta is living and
growing in the wide anchorage of Laganas. The season when the sea-turtles lay their eggs
there are severe regulations because this kind is threatened by disappearance.
