Worth seeing places:

• The ruins of the temple of Apollo. The mountainous village of Agios Petros, 6km northwards.
• The monastery of Agios Nicholas, of the 17th century, in Lafkata`s cape. It has wooden and sculptured iconostasis and old pictures.
• "The Lady`s Cape"(Kabos of Kyra), in the cape of Lefkata. According to the tradition, the ancient poet maker Sapfo commited suicide there, falling from the cape`s white rocks, disappointed by Phaona with whom she was in love.
• From Vassiliki we can visit the best coast of the island, called Porto-Katsiki, which is situated 9km south of the village Athani as well as the sandy beach of Egremnes, 4km from Athani.
