Diplomatics
Built on the mountainside of Roda, it’s the commercial and agricultural center of the area of Lokrida. It is 78,5 km to the southeast of Lamia. The inhabitants are 6127. Six km east is the haven of Skala witch has a beautiful beach. It is the passage from Fthiotida to the North Euboea.
The sights are:
St Athanasius catacomb. It is said that during the Turkish domination it used to be a hidden school.
The little church of St Serafim and the St Anargyri’s monastery, a building of the 17th century.
The monastery of St John the Roda (named so after the Roda mountain) is built in an area full of vegetation.
