SCHOOLS

  The island has a nursery school, a primary school, a secondary school and a high school

  The nursery school is hosted in a building next to the primary school. It has a total of 11 students and 2 kindergarten teachers.

  The primary school consists of two classrooms: the 1^st, 5^th and 6^th grade are hosted in one class and the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th in another. It has a total of 20 students and 3 teachers.

  The secondary school and the high school are under the same roof. The building was constructed at the begging of the 80s. In the past if someone wanted to continue his or her studies he or she was obliged to move to Chios. The total number of students attending the schools is 28 (8 in the secondary school and 20 in the high school), and there are  12 teachers in both schools.
