BEACHES

    The island of Psara is unique for its wonderful beaches. Clear and clean, they attract all kind of visitors with different tastes: beaches full of pebble of various sizes, golden sand and deep blue sea. Some of the most famous beaches are listed below. Yet, there are many more isolated beaches waiting for you to discover and enjoy.

Limnos

  Located on the broader gulf of the port, Limnos is a big and beautiful beach full of sand and fine pebble. Almost 4Km from the village the beach is easy to reach since the road is paved with asphalt.

Lakka

  Lakka is located on the western side and is one of the biggest beaches of the isle. One can access the beach throw the "wind park" almost 3Km from the village. 500m from the beach the "Nisopoula" complex is located with St. Nikolaki being the biggest one where the homonymous church is built.

Lazaretta

  Many consider Lazaretta as the most beautiful beach of the isle. Full of sand and shallow waters the beach is located on the south side of the isle, almost 1Km from the village reachable on foot (10 minutes approximately) or by car. This beach is available for camping.

Katsouni

  Located in the east side of the village this attracts most visitors. It's full of sand and shallow waters. The annual beach volley tournament takes place here.

Kato Gialos

  On the south part of the island between Mavri Rachi and St. Nicholas lies the rocky beach of Kato Gialos. Here, one can enjoy the clear blue sea viewing the small island of Antipsara.

Agia Kiriaki

  Agia Kiriaki is a small gulf near the beach of Katsouni and is ideal for those who want to enjoy their privacy in a beach not far from the village.

Archontiki

  Archontiki is located next to the beach of Lakka. A small peninsula separates the 2 beaches. And is a beach that combines sand and pebble. On the left part of the beach archeological research is concluded. 100m from the beach is the rock complex of "Daskalio".
