From
the 7th century B.C. there are a few references about our
region. |
| In
the municipal area of Ano Liosia there were three small municipalities
making |
| A
Tricomia. These municipalities were the Efpirides, the Kropides and the
Pilikes and |
| belonged
to Leontida Tribe and to Mesogio Tritty according to Kleisthenis |
| administrative
schedule (6th century B.C.) |
|
| The Efpyrides as Thoukidides reports were somewhere
between the rail road station and the church |
| of Agia Sotira. The archaeologists
believe that Pilikes were near to St. John church. |

2.The wall
|
. West of Ano Liosia
administrative boundaries there is ruined the ancient wall
called
''Dema'' .In 1920 it was described as the wall with
length more than 6 kilometers with
carved large block of stones. For it's length size
and craft it was considered as an
important achievement. |
| There is no accurate estimation
when it was built .It was written that it was built before the start |
| of the first Peloponnesian war in 431 B.C.According to it's building technique we assume it was |
built between 337-336 B.C.

3.From the ancient times to the end of
Frank domination.

|
Through the pass of the time the information
about the area of Ano Liosia is poor. |
| At the end of the Frank domination (second
half of the 14th century) the first Greek from |
| Albanian descent moved there. |
4.Under the Turkish domination and
the Revolution in 1821
|
Ano Liosia
people joined their neighbors from Fyli and Acharnes and under the
command
|
| of
Captain Meletis Vasiliou they fought against the Turks at several battles. Many
of them |
| were
awarded with medals. |
