The museum in Ancient Corinth was built in 1931-32 by the American School of Classic Studies and was officially delivered to the Greek State in 1934. In 1950 there was an annex to the eastern aisle by the architect himself.
The museum in Corinth is one of the richest and very important provincial museums of Greece via its various exhibits.. The sightseer can imagine and revive the long-term history of that brilliant city, as well as the history of Corinthia and simultaneously to watch gradually the development of the art from Neolithic ages to the Middle ages.
In the museum’s collections are concluded: collection of the prehistoric times, geometrical, archaic, classic and Greek ages, Roman and Byzantine ages, findings of the Asclipiou, sculpting and inscription collections.
