Glauki’s
source, is a large block of stone in the North of the museum and in the West of Acraias
Hera’s temple.
It
had been embellished in the rock with four reservoirs and three basins in the front and
one in the West. The water the source had was coming through a spring that lies on the
foot of Acrocorinth. .
It was named after the daughter of King Creoda of Corinth, Glauki, while she was to marry the legendary hero Jason. It was said that Medea sent her a spelled dress as a present the day before she took her husband and when Glauki wore the dress she started burning. In an attempt to save her flesh from burning fire, Glauki fell in the spring’s water and got drowned. It was then when the source took the name of her.
